Fewmoretaps OU d/b/a Trustname.com (“Trustname”) is an Estonia-based private limited company (osaühing) committed to helping build a better Internet — always on, always secure, privacy-focused, and accessible to everyone. We believe that a better Internet is grounded in respect for human rights, and that human rights principles must inform how we conduct our business globally.
This Human Rights Policy describes our commitments, how we implement them, and how this policy is overseen.
Scope
This policy applies to all Trustname employees, officers, directors, consultants, agents, contractors, business partners, resellers, and any other representatives acting on behalf of Trustname.
Trustname requires all personnel to read, understand, and comply with this policy and to conduct business in a manner consistent with internationally recognized human rights standards.
Trustname is committed to respecting human rights in accordance with the United Nations (UN) Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGP).
Our commitments are based on internationally recognized human rights, including those contained in:
- Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR)
- International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR)
- International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR)
- International Labour Organization (ILO) Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work
Trustname’s commitment to protecting and advancing freedom of expression and privacy online is based on:
- Freedom of expression under Article 19 of the UDHR and Article 19 of the ICCPR
- Privacy under Article 12 of the UDHR and Article 17 of the ICCPR
- Global Network Initiative (GNI) Principles and GNI Implementation Guidelines
As a company operating within the European Union, Trustname is also committed to compliance with applicable EU law, including the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Additionally, as a signatory of the UN Global Compact, Trustname is committed to the UN Ten Principles, as well as helping to promote human rights as part of advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Respecting human rights under the UNGPs means that Trustname seeks to avoid causing or contributing to adverse human rights impacts and works to mitigate any impacts directly linked to our operations, products, or services.
We take the following steps to implement our commitments:
- Human Rights Due Diligence. Trustname conducts risk-based assessments to identify, prevent, mitigate, and account for potential human rights impacts associated with our services, including domain registration, DNS management, and related services.
- Respecting Privacy and Data Protection. As described in our Privacy Policy, Trustname believes protection of personal data is fundamental. We require that government requests for data comply with applicable law and due process. We build products and improve privacy online, and we minimize the collection of personal data and do not sell or rent personal data to third parties.
- Freedom of Expression. As a domain registrar and infrastructure provider, Trustname recognizes the importance of access to information and online expression. We evaluate requests to suspend, transfer, or restrict domains in accordance with applicable law, contractual obligations (including ICANN requirements), and proportionality principles.
- Addressing Abuse Proportionally. Trustname maintains and enforces an abuse handling process designed to address DNS abuse and other violations in a manner that is appropriate, transparent, and proportionate to the nature of the service provided. We avoid overbroad restrictions that may unnecessarily limit lawful expression.
- Respecting Employees. Trustname is committed to equal opportunity, non-discrimination, fair wages, safe working conditions, and respect for freedom of association, consistent with the ILO Fundamental Principles and EU labor standards.
- Responsible Supply Chain. Trustname evaluates key vendors, resellers, and partners for compliance with legal and ethical standards, including fair labor practices and anti-slavery laws. We comply with all applicable anti-human trafficking and forced labor laws.
- Transparency. Where legally permissible, Trustname strives to provide transparency regarding requests for data disclosure or domain action. We are committed to improving reporting practices in line with industry standards and evolving best practices.
- Support for At-Risk Users. Consistent with international human rights principles, Trustname seeks to ensure that vulnerable users — including journalists, activists, and civil society organizations — are not arbitrarily deprived of essential Internet infrastructure services.
Working with Stakeholders
Trustname recognizes that effective implementation of the UN Guiding Principles requires engagement with stakeholders who may be affected by our activities.
We may engage with civil society organizations, industry peers, legal experts, and policy groups to better understand salient human rights risks in the domain name ecosystem and to improve our policies and procedures.
Trustname also complies with applicable requirements of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and engages with the multistakeholder Internet governance community where appropriate.
Grievance and Reporting Mechanisms
Trustname provides mechanisms for individuals and organizations to report concerns related to human rights impacts, including through our abuse reporting channels and legal contact points. We review complaints in good faith and take appropriate action consistent with applicable law and our contractual obligations.
Policy Development and Oversight
Trustname’s Human Rights Policy was first adopted in 2026. As a privately held Estonian limited liability company (OÜ), ultimate oversight of this policy rests with Trustname’s management and Board of Directors.
Implementation of this policy is overseen by Trustname’s executive management, including the CEO and General Counsel (or equivalent legal function).
This policy will be reviewed periodically and updated as necessary to reflect legal developments, operational changes, and evolving human rights standards.
Trustname is committed to continuous improvement in the protection and respect of human rights in all aspects of our operations.
