Many clients ask whether Trustname offers a special “VIP,” “Elite,” or “Bulletproof” protection tier where certain domains receive special treatment during abuse complaints, investigations, or legal requests.
The answer is no.
At Trustname, all customers receive the same level of service — and that level is already significantly higher than industry standard. We apply the same privacy-focused and manual-review approach equally to all users, regardless of portfolio size, business type, or spending level.
We do not offer any paid “VIP immunity” program, priority abuse bypass, or special protection package that would override legal, registry, or infrastructure requirements.
There are situations where actions may still occur outside of our direct control, including:
• ICANN Contractual Compliance investigations or enforcement requests (very rare)
• Registry-level actions (such as serverHold, suspension, or registry lock) independently applied by the TLD operator
• Third-party Anycast DNS infrastructure providers requiring DNS resolution to stop or nameservers to be removed
• Court orders or legally binding requests issued under Estonian jurisdiction
• Technical or upstream infrastructure limitations outside registrar scope (e.g, hosting or email providers)
In some cases, we may ask customers to migrate DNS management to an external provider if our Anycast DNS partners require service termination for a domain. The domain itself usually remains registered and under your control, but DNS resolution through Trustname infrastructure may no longer be possible.
For this reason, we do not advertise or provide “VIP abuse protection” services. All users receive the same high standard of manual review, privacy protection, and registrar neutrality.
That said, sometimes certain situations are simply outside our scope or legal authority to prevent.
Forget Auto Suspensions
One reason many customers choose Trustname is that we do not perform automatic takedowns based solely on complaints, allegations, or unverified reports. If we receive a report that may require action, our standard practice is to notify the registrant whenever reasonably possible and provide an opportunity to respond, clarify, or remediate the issue before any action is considered.
While immediate action may occasionally be required in exceptional circumstances involving clear and ongoing harm, the vast majority of reports go through a manual review process. This means you should not panic simply because a complaint has been filed. A complaint alone does not automatically result in suspension.
We believe domain owners deserve notice, transparency, and a fair opportunity to be heard. If Trustname believes action may be necessary, we will generally contact you first and provide reasonable time to respond. Our goal is to resolve issues cooperatively whenever possible rather than resorting to automatic enforcement.
