Trustname Update: Reseller API Is Now Live

The Trustname Reseller API has graduated from Beta and is now live and generally available to all reseller accounts. You can use it to automate domain registration and management across our supported TLDs directly from your own systems.

This article covers what changed, how to get started, pricing tiers, billing, and where to get help.

What's new

• The Reseller API is out of Beta and is now live for all reseller accounts.

• Reseller accounts use dedicated pricing and abuse policies, kept separate from retail (see below).

Getting started

1. Activate your reseller account. To enable billing and invoicing, provide your billing address and tax ID. No additional documentation is required - email reseller@trustname.com.
2. Get your API token. Your reseller account includes an API token used to authenticate requests. To reset it or request a new one, email reseller@trustname.com.
3. Read the docs. Authentication, endpoint references, and examples are all at https://b2b.trustname.com/reseller/docs.

Pricing and account tiers

Reseller pricing is organized into three tiers — Standard, Bulk, and Super Bulk — and is separate from Trustname retail pricing. All new reseller accounts start on Standard.

You can reach a higher tier either organically through volume, or immediately by topping up your Wallet:

As a rough guide, around 100 .com registrations a month keeps an account in good standing, and around 1,000 a month reaches the lowest at-cost Super Bulk pricing.

Billing and payments

Reseller accounts run on a pre-pay model funded from your Wallet. Registrations draw the balance down automatically, so top up in advance and check your balance regularly.

Note: Automatic low-balance notifications aren't available yet. If you'd like balance reminders in the meantime, ask support and we'll send them manually on request.

We accept:

• Cryptocurrency via the automated payment interface — BTC
• USDT (TRC20), USDC (ERC-20) and other ERC-20 tokens, and Solana - wallets are provided upon request — email reseller@trustname.com.

Your current deposit addresses are shown in the Wallet section of your account. If you can't find them, contact support.

Abuse and domain policy

Reseller accounts follow reseller-specific abuse policies, which differ from our retail terms. An updated abuse policy is rolling out over the coming weeks. Under the current policy, registered domains remain active unless suspension or removal is required by law or by ICANN.
